Lowering Drug Prices for a Rare Disease
Determined to tackle the issue of rising medication prices for Wilson disease, a condition affecting him personally, Drew Katz worked with Mark Cuban’s Cost Plus Drug Co., and generic drug maker Dr. Reddy’s, to reduce the cost of life-saving drugs. “I wasn’t solving this for myself,” he said. “I have insurance. I can afford my medication. I wanted to solve this for the community of my brothers and sisters in health.”

Drew Katz donated thirty digital billboards throughout New Jersey to help launch the first phase of a “Mask Up” campaign spearheaded by New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy and the NJ Pandemic Relief Fund.

Twelve students from Camden Academy Charter High School received a new laptop computer, courtesy of the Katz Foundation, to participate in the College Now Campus Course Program at Camden County College. The program gives students the opportunity to earn an associate’s degree before they graduate from high school.
