Garry Maddox Drew Katz Celebrity Bowling Classic

The Garry Maddox - Drew Katz Celebrity Bowling Classic was held on October 15, 2017 at 30 Strikes Bowling Center in Stratford, NJ. The Celebrity Bowling Classic begun in the 1970ís when, shortly after being traded to the Phillies from the Giants, Garry Maddox responded to a request to visit a child at a local hospital. Volunteering his time soon developed into a commitment to raising funds, and the Celebrity Bowling Classic was born.  Drew Katz attended the first Bowling Classic as a young fan, and in 2001 he joined Garry as co-host, helping grow the event.

This year we had over 400 friends and supporters in attendance and raised $350,000. In response to the acts of hate and violence in our country, Rachel and Drew took the firm position to stand up against racism and anti-Semitism. The proceeds that the foundation received from the Celebrity Bowling Classic was designated to the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), the nationís premier civil rights/human relations organization.

The foundation will continue to support various organizations committed to addressing the medical, education, social, emotional and cultural needs of those less fortunate in our communities. The Rachel & Drew Katz Foundation and the Compete 360 are humbled and grateful for the support of so many.
